This Privacy Policy was last updated on July 21, 2017 and applies to the college portal.com, Inc. (“college portal” or “we” or “us”) websites located at college portal.com and related sub-domains as well as online services that include, but are not limited to, email newsletters, online content, scholarship listings, mobile applications and various medium or devices now known or hereafter developed (collectively, the “college portal Services”). Continued access to the college portal Services by you will constitute your acceptance of any changes or revisions to the Privacy Policy, which we may post from time to time. If you do not agree with the Privacy Policy, please do not use the college portal Services. This policy does not cover information collected on any third-party site to which the college portal Services link. Your use of the college portal Services is also subject to our Terms of Use. How does college portal collect my information?

Use and disclosure related to services and service providers: The information that you provide to us and general information collected about your visit to the college portal Services may be retained, used and disclosed by college portal in order to provide, analyze and maintain college portal Services and to provide additional information about college portal, its Partners whose products or services we feel may be of use to you. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act

The college portal Services and related websites are intended for general audiences and are not directed to children under 13 years of age. No one under the age of 13 should provide any personal information, and college portal does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If a child has provided us with personally identifiable information, a parent or guardian of that child may send an email message to support@college portal.com with “Request for Child Information Removal” on the subject line and the name and age of the child in the body of the message. We will then terminate the applicable account and make reasonable efforts to delete the child’s information from our database.

California Privacy Rights

Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents who provide personal information in obtaining products or services for personal, family or household use are entitled to request and obtain from us once a calendar year information about the customer information we shared, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing uses. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared customer information for the immediately prior calendar year (e.g., requests made in 2013 will receive information regarding 2012 sharing activities).
